Philosophy

Jonathan's teaching philosophy is keeping the golf swing simple by making sure the student has all the basics down first before working on the swing. He gives his students one or two things to work on at a time and focuses on the first swing flaw he sees. Working on the first swing flaw in the swing helps change swing flaws later in the swing and usually makes the process of creating a better swing much faster.

History

Jonathan currently works at Tierra Verde Golf Club in Arlington, Texas as the Lead Golf Instructor. He started there as an assistant golf professional in 2005 and shortly after, took over the lead golf instructor position and assistant to 1999 LPGA Teacher of the Year, Amy Fox. In the past 3 years, Jonathan has taught over 1000 lessons, icluding private, semi-private and clinics. He's been heavily involved in the Hooked on Golf Instructional Programs at Tierra Verde Golf Club and has helped grow the program to over 1000 members in the last 3 years.
